Merry Twixmas Everybody!

You may have noticed this new term ‘Twixmas’ easing into the British tourism industry’s vocabulary. It refers to the period between Christmas and New Year – a time that has traditionally been quiet for hotels. Because hotel rooms are empty hoteliers and travel agents are willing to offer some huge discounts to fill them!

So if you are keen to escape from the scene of your family Christmas, there are certainly some great deals about. This year we featured Twixmas deals to Pentire Hotel in Newquay and to Britannia’s UK hotels. It might be a little late notice to book your Twixmas break today, but if you fancy planning one next year the best deals will be about in November or early December.
