May 5th’s Real Deals Story
Today brought news that Saudi Arabian dream interpreter, Yusuf al-Harthy, plans to open an academy specialising in degrees and even PhDs in dreaming and visions;
“Many of us would consider ourselves practiced in the art of day dreaming, but are you good enough to qualify for a PhD? If so you may be interested in the planned dream academy, to be set up by a Saudi Arabian dream interpreter.”
The Real Deal: As reported by AFP the new academy would be linked to an unnamed existing Arab University. There is a long history of dream interpretation in Islam, though as Saudi Arabia is a strict Islamic nation where alcohol is banned, Western scholars might find nights down the Student Union bar a lot quieter than they’re used to!
