Are You Standing Comfortably?
Low-cost airline Ryanair has announced their latest cost-cutting measure, and it’s not sounding particularly comfortable.
They plan to introduce vertical seating onto their flights, meaning passengers will be standing until their destination (or perhaps more precisely, passengers will be standing with legs tightly crossed – due to Ryanair’s other cost-cutting measure of introducing pay-per-use toilets)
The logic is sound – Ryanair reckon they’ll be able to fit 40-50 extra passengers per flight, which will allow them to cut costs, and sell these standing spaces for as little as £4 one way. Still, we can’t help thinking they remind us of something…
