Save £9 Visiting the USA

As we all know, every little helps when it comes to saving money (and our dealcheckers are a little obsessive about savings).

Well, from 8th September this year the USA are going to start charging Britons £9 for their ESTA. An ESTA, for those not already familiar with those four little letters, stands for Electronic System for Travel Authorisation – an online authorisation that British citizens have been required to apply for (for free) prior to travelling to the USA since January 2009.

Luckily, once you’ve applied for your ESTA it’s valid for the next two years, so to save yourself the cash simply apply for one before the fee comes in on September 8th. Then start planning what you can spend all your extra 900 pennies on.
