Pick of The Real Deals: Canary Winter Warmer

Yikes! It’s time for me to pick a favourite deal from the newsletter again – and it’s like my very own Sophie’s choice every single week (well… maybe).
But this week my pick has to be the all inclusive holiday to Lanzarote we found on offer at low-cost holidays.

For starters it fits the season perfectly. The chilly weather has just begun to set in, leaving me desperate for a little winter warmer. This deal leaves on the 4th December – I might just about be able to last that long.

The second reason why I love it is the price. Hey, it’s just £219 per person for a week’s all inclusive. I reckon I could eat £200 worth of food in a week if I tried. How’s that for getting your money’s worth? It’s down 40% on the normal price – when you know this deal should cost £307 per person you can see just how cheap it is.

Thirdly I’m excited about the location. Don’t go expecting the hotel to be much more than a cheap and cheerful place to rest your head – it doesn’t need to be, as I’d rather be out exploring the sights of Lanzarote. The hotel is on the Costa Teguise, one of the most popular places to stay in Lanzarote – you’ll be able to walk to the beach, just 800 metres away.

I’ve developed a bit of an obsession with Lanzarote-born artist Cesar Manrique of late, and his sculptures and designs are dotted all over the island, so I’d recommend hiring a car (hint: search for Lanzarote car rental here) so you can visit the Mirador del Río viewpoint and Jameos del Agua concert venue, which is built into a volcanic cave.
