Visit the Zoo Babies
Spring is on the way, and that means baby animals being born all over the UK – whether you’ll have lambs, calves or ducklings near you, it’s unmissable! But at the zoos across the world, there have already been some exciting new arrivals, so why not hop on a plane and see some of the cutest creatures on the planet!
Paignton Zoo – Baby Tapir

Let’s start in the UK, at Devon’s Paignton Zoo Environmental Park. Benefitting from the milder weather in the south west, this is a lovely zoo set amongst beautiful botanical gardens. Expect to see all your favourites with monkeys, giraffes, elephants, zebras and rhinos all calling Paignton their home. But the star attraction at the moment is Dexter, the baby tapir, born on 5th February! Get there quick with a cheap flight to Exeter.
Busch Gardens – Baby Giraffe

Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida isn’t just a zoo it’s also a theme park so you can get plenty of thrills all in one day. Ride the Cheetah Hunt, head over Stanley Falls or take it easy with the Skyride so you can see all the animals. There’s cheetahs, chimpanzees, hyenas, lions and tigers and even free roaming peacocks to keep an eye out for. And of course, the baby giraffe. Well, I’m not sure you can call her a baby at 187cm, but she’ll be by her mother’s side for at least a year! Search for Orlando flights here.
Melbourne Zoo – Baby Coatis

As you would expect from a zoo on the other size of the world, Melbourne Zoo has a whole array of exciting things to see. Koalas, wombats, emus and kangaroos are all in the Australian Bush exhibit, whilst peccaries and tree kangaroos are also on show. Don’t worry, there’s still plenty of the favourites like tigers, orang utans and elephants as well. Brevard Zoo – Baby Giant Anteater

And from one Melbourne to another, this time Melbourne in Florida. The small Brevard Zoo has plenty to shout about with animals from around the world on show. See jaguars, alligators, cassowary, warty pigs (yes, we laughed too), lemurs, rhinos and more! And now it’s home to a baby giant anteater too! He or she will be carried on their mother’s back for a whole year, which is most definitely a labour of love. If this hasn’t convinced you to book your flight to Orlando right now, I don’t know what will!
