Jubilee Change for Big Ben’s Tower

It was announced this week that the iconic tower on the Houses of Parliament is getting a name change to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee. Usually known as Big Ben, although that name really is for the huge bell that chimes, the name The Clock Tower is now consigned to history.

It will now be called Elizabeth Tower, to commemorate Queen Elizabeth’s sixty years on the throne. Here at dealchecker though we’re pretty sure people will carry on calling it Big Ben. What do you think?
